To shop with Sheppey Models we require that you set up an account with us. This account is covered by our privacy policy (Privacy Policy) including, but not limited to, your marketing mail preferences. All options on Sheppey Models regarding marketing mails are ‘click to select’ rather than ‘click to unselect’. This means that you have to choose to receive any marketing mails from us and not have to go searching for any pre-selected tick boxes in order to un-select them to not receive unwanted mails. Nobody wants to receive any more spam than they do already and we hope this improves your experience with Sheppey Models.

2. The Use Of Our Website By Children

The only information we collect when an account is being set up is Name, E-Mail Address and Postal Address. We make no use of this information whatsoever beyond that needed to make use of this website. No data is shared with a third party site other than when payment verification is made and then only what is necessary to verify any payment. The parent or legal guardian of anyone under the age of 18 with an account on this website may contact us to request what information is stored about their child and to request it’s removal up to and including the removal of an account at any time. Children may not apply for an account on this website without the approval of their parent or legal guardian.

This website is provided an an ‘As Is, As Available’ basis. All material contained on this website is provided without any warranty of any kind. You use the material on this website at your own discretion. We also make no guarantee as to the availability of this website. Though we endeavour to keep it online at all times technical issues, 3rd party action or other circumstances may result in this website being offline without notice.

4. Returns Policy

Right To Cancel

Once you have placed an order you have the right to cancel it any time up until the order is despatched. To do this, got to My Account (https://sheppeymodels.co.uk/my-account) and click on Orders. All of the orders you have made with Sheppey Models will be listed here. Any order that has not been despatched will have a button next to view that says ‘Cancel’. Click on this and a cancel request will be made to Sheppey Models which we will process within 24 hours. You will receive an e-mail once the order has successfully been cancelled and you will be fully refunded the cost of the order (this includes postage and packing).

Your right to cancel also extends to a period of 14 days AFTER the goods have been delivered to you. If your order has been despatched to you before you were able to cancel simply contact us stating your wish to cancel. You do not need to provide any reason for your wish to cancel, it is your legal right to cancel. We will contact you back and then you will need to return the goods to us. Once we have received them back and checked that they are in the same condition as we sent them to you, that they are still in the original packaging and show no signs of use, we will arrange for a full refund to be made to whatever payment method you used when placing the order.

Please Note that to be eligible for this we require that the product(s) be returned to us in the same condition that they were sent out, i.e., that they are unopened and still in their original packaging. If you have opened the goods they can only be returned if they are missing parts or contain defective parts or are damaged in some way (and are covered in the Damaged And Defective Products section below). The goods must also be returned within 14 days of your request to cancel being accepted. If the goods are returned after this period we reserve the right to refuse a refund. We advise that you keep your receipt from the parcel company you use and, if your returned goods are returned after the 14 days allowed and the delay is the result of the parcel company, a full refund will still be given as long as all other conditions for a refund are met.

Damaged And Defective Products

Should you receive and order from us that is missing items or has damaged items in them it is your right to be refunded or receive replacement products. This includes shipping damage. If an order arrives at your door with apparent shipping damage please take a photo of this and contact us immediately by any of the contact methods on our contact page (Contact Us). Save all packaging material and paperwork and do not throw anything away! On some occasions the couriers may ask to see any damaged packaging. For any orders damaged in shipping we will need to make a claim to the parcel service company and can only refund you once the claim is processed.

It is your responsibility to carefully check that all items received are undamaged and in good working condition and to notify us as soon as possible that the goods are damaged or defective.

Mistakenly Sent Items Returns Policy

If we happen to send you the wrong item by mistake, we do apologise for this. If this is the case for you then please contact us to let us know what has happened and return the item as soon as possible. Unfortunately we can not dispatch replacements to you with out the incorrectly sent item being returned to us. This is to protect ourselves and our customers from price increases.  We cannot accept any responsibility for items being returned to us that are lost in the post. It is your responsibility to see that returned goods reach us and in the condition they were sent to you. Do not use express services or we will be unable to refund you the full cost paid. We will make an exception if the value of the item(s) being returned exceeds the level of compensation offered by standard recorded delivery and we will refund you if you choose to use a special delivery service.

Delayed, Lost Or Misrouted Orders

In the case of loss or delay of an item please contact us and we will look into the matter for you. If the delay or loss is out of the customers control and/or not caused by the customer we will cover these costs.

Returning Goods – Refund Of Costs

It is your legal right to be recompensed for the cost of returning goods that are defective. We do not, however, cover the cost of returning goods that are unwanted. When returning defective items to us, please do not use express courier services to return goods to us as we are only able to refund the cost of returning goods up to the cost of sending the goods to you unless the value of the goods is not covered by the levels of compensation offered by standard delivery service.

If you are returning products to us and they are lost by the postal service you use, we do not accept any responsibility and you will need to contact the parcel service you used to send the goods to us. It is your responsibility to ensure goods are returned to us in the condition in which they were received. This means in the original packaging and showing no signs of use.

5. Product Price And/Or Description Changes

All prices, pictures and descriptions on this site and all other Sheppey Models publications are subject to change. Sheppey Models maintains no responsibility for inadvertent errors. In the event of typographical errors on our site or in our publications, Sheppey Models reserves the right to cancel or refuse orders at its sole discretion. Please contact us within 30 days regarding price or promotion discrepancies.
